This exhibition of sculptural systems is inspired by early electronic instruments, ambient music, and biomorphic sculpture of the ‘70s and ‘80s. Some analog instruments blurred the human aspects of acoustic instruments with the precise dissonance of the electronic. This period feels relevant as we are intertwined with contemporary technologies and novel forms for expression. These sculptures transform the space they are in and can be utilized to transform sound sent through them, providing a call-and-response between the user and objects.
