Take a Stand: Poets Against Hate

Join Seattle-King County literary organizations in Poets Against Hate: an event at the Seattle downtown public library. Each poet will read one poem relevant to the subject. Readers include 2024 Jack Straw Writers  E.J. Batiste and Jarrett Ziemer, as well as progam alumni Paul Hunter, Esther Altshul Helfgott, Michael Hureaux, Paul E Nelson, Sylvia Pollack, Raúl Sánchez, Carolyne Wright, and Carletta Carrington Wilson.

This event is co-sponsored by Raven Chronicles Press, Jack Straw Cultural Center, Cascadia Poetics Lab, Pongo Poetry Project, and Recovery Cafe’s Safe Place Writing Circle. We will have a table set up for organizations/poets to sell books after the reading.
