Announcing 2007 Jack Straw Writers
The Jack Straw Writers Program is proud to announce the 2007 writers. This year’s curator Matt Briggs, winner of a 2006 American Book Award for his novel Shoot the Buffalo, has selected 11 writers and one writing team to participate. These literary artists will take part in various live readings, in-studio trainings, publication in the Jack Straw Writers Anthology, and podcasts. The 2007 Jack Straw Writers are:

Jack Straw Productions will present these writers at the annual Writers Program May Readings Series (May 17, 24, 31) and release parties for the Jack Straw Writers Anthology, Volume 11. These events will also feature live musical interludes and a reception following the reading. You can preview some of this year’s poets at the upcoming Seattle Poetry Festival (April 21-22) at Hugo House and the Burning Word Poetry Festival at the Pickering Farm on Whidbey Island (April 28).
