The Radost Folk Ensemble
Jill Cohen and The Radost Folk Ensemble are dedicated to the preservation of eastern European folklore, music, and dance. Their album Heirloom, produced through the Jack Straw Artist Support Program, documented instrumental and vocal music, including a Tamburitsa band playing Croatian choreographies, a traditional and modern-instrument Bulgarian band and women’s choir, and a string trio playing Hungarian choreographies.
