Rachel Lodge
Rachel Lodge is a visual and multi-media artist. In her current work she uses hand-drawn digital images, animation, sound, and objects to open a perceptual window into the hidden world of carbon, from the molecular to the landscape level, helping people to actually experience the flow of carbon all around us through many phenomena that are normally beyond our human perception. Largely self-taught as an artist, Rachel began exhibiting in 1990. Her work has appeared at the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art, the Museum of Northwest Art, and the University of Washington Botanic Garden. She has held artist residencies at PLAYA and at the Pacific Science Center.
