Peter Vukmirovic Stevens is a composer, pianist, and multimedia artist whose music and art is guided by his connections with travel, conceptual blending and the extraordinary side of human activity. His first musical influences came from the Serbian Orthodox church where he sang during church services. Stevens is a former student of Bern Herbolsheimer and Samuel Jones in Seattle, Washington and Bodhan Bubak in Prague, Czech Republic. Peter graduated Magna Cum Laude from Cornish College of the Arts. He writes for a wide variety of concert music settings and styles, with his unique approach to harmony most strongly characterizing his work. From 2006 to 2012, he served as the Artistic Director of the Seattle Pianist Collective, which he co-founded.
