Gregory Fields
Gregory Fields is a professor of philosophy who specializes in Native North Pacific Coast culture, history, philosophy, and language preservation/revitalization. He is the founding faculty advisor of Southern Illinois University’s minor in Religious Studies and he teaches courses for the minor in Asian Studies.
Artist Support Program 2013: Produce a media companion to the book Sacred Breath: Pacific Northwest Culture and Medicine Teachings by Johnny Moses.
Artist Support Program 2010: Record songs, cultural knowledge, and biographical information of two Coast Salish culture-bearers, Pauline Hillaire and Johnny Moses.
