Arami Walker
Arami Walker is a musician, author, and activist focused on uplifting the notion of community in our culture. Her music is a fusion of jazz, RNB, soul, and alternative songwriting. She graduated from UCLA in 2015 as a distinguished scholar and a Gates Millennium scholar. As a musician and poet, she has performed At Langston Hughes Performance Art Institute, Seattle Art Museum, Northwest Folklife Festival, Waco Theatre North Hollywood, and more. As an author, she has collaborated with an initiative called Seattle Restored to install a large scale installation of her writing in Pioneer Square, Seattle. Arami has published three poetry books focused on culture, music, identity, and race. Her first album, A Universe by Nature, is available on Spotify, Apple Music, Pandora and Tidal.
