Alfonso Arias Aluisa / Ayllus

Ayllus is a family music group composed of Alfonso Arias Aluisa and his three sons. Alfonso has been learning and playing the music of the Andes since he was 12 years old. He learned through oral tradition from his grandfather, Atanasio Arias Maldonado, and by playing music with other members of his community. Between the ages of 15 and 17, Alfonso toured Europe with a musical group from his community.
