Art & Heritage Partnerships

Jack Straw joined forces with Seattle Center, Denny International Middle School, The Museum of History and Industry, HistoryLink.org, 4Culture, KCTS, KUOW, and KBCS to produce radio programs, education programs, an audio/cell phone tour, and live performances celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Seattle World’s Fair at the Seattle Center.

On April 21, 1962, visitors from around the world came to witness the future at Seattle World’s Fair, and after months of anticipation leading up to the World’s Fair anniversary, the official six-month-long celebration of our former futuristic vision kicked off in May 2012 with a slew of events at Seattle Center and the Space Needle. See below the various projects produced by Jack Straw Cultural Center for this historic event.
