Join us in the gallery and studios at Jack Straw Cultural Center for a hands-on sound art workshop with nature sound recordist Jeff Rice, in conjunction with his New Media Gallery installation Pando Suite. After a brief presentation and audio described tour of the exhibit, participants will learn about some of the unusual microphones Rice used to record the sounds of the world’s largest tree. Participants will have an opportunity to make and record their own soundscapes with some of the same equipment used to create Pando Suite.
