Arts Inspire 2009
In 2009 Jack Straw Cultural Center started Arts Inspire, a project for students with muscular dystrophy and spina bifida. In this pilot program, a group of elementary school students produced flash dramas and interviewed each other about things that are important to them, and what it’s like to look at the world from their wheelchairs. This project is an expansion of our work with youth with visual impairments.
Colby, Mikey, Annie, Leo, and his brother Freddy came to the Jack Straw studios to learn about audio production. Check out the playlist below to find out about the audio workshop and be introduced to the kids.
