As the frenzy of the May Readings winds down, Jack Straw Productions brings you a musical presentation featuring two different versions of live jazz: Karin Kajita‘s upbeat West Coast style and Tom Baker‘s adventurous forays into new music and free improv. They will perform at the Jack Straw Artist Showcase on Thursday, June 21, at Egan’s Ballard Jamhouse in Seattle. Show starts at 7 and the cover is $10.
In this Jack Straw Podcast, we preview Karin Kaijta’s new CD release, Letting Go, and hear about how this classical pianist became a jazz composer.
